INTRODUCTION

Botswana Student Network is an information platform advocating for an informed and educated nation in alignment with one of Botswana government’s vision 2016 goals. The intention is to develop a movement driven by young people, sharing ideas, opportunities and news about what is happening around us.

Botswana Student Network believes in sharing and thus its goal is to expose to those who are less privileged opportunities that are relevant to the individual student’s personal empowerment. The platform’s target group is students from Junior and Senior Secondary Schools, both private and public schools, as well as colleges and tertiary institutions around Botswana, not forgetting Batswana international students.

VISION

Botswana Student Network aspires to be the foremost movement for students creating a linkage between students, government and companies in the development of academic excellence, leadership skills, career opportunities and social responsibility.

MISSION

Botswana Student Network stands to prepare and equip students with managerial leadership, business skills, self responsibility and encouraging academic excellence which shall help prepare learners to effectively and productively respond to the challenges of university, the corporate world, labour market and society at large.

1. To create a linkage between students, government and companies.

4. To encourage companies to play a meaningful role towards the development of aspirant students within the student community.
5. To uphold and enhance the highest relevant professional standards and principles in student leadership.
6. To assume the role of an effective voice for the needs, aspirations and views of students.
7. To be an effective platform for the exchange of information, views and experiences through a dynamic forum.
8. To encourage the spirit of giving back to society by engaging in charity initiatives.
